Have you ever been concerned that a pharmacist would give you the incorrect medication because they were unable to read your doctor’s handwriting? There is this joke about doctors and their sloppy handwriting around the world.
If we look at the figures, there are approximately 7000 deaths a year that are caused due to doctors’ bad handwriting and therefore, it isn’t a joke anymore and not a problem faced by only one set of people (Leijen, 2012).
So to address this problem we present to you “Prescriptio”, a speech-based prescription management system.
Who is this for?
Prescriptio is for doctors! It is so simple and convenient to use and all that the doctor needs to do is speak up the prescription and the system will do the rest.
Prescriptio can recognise speech and convert it to text and while doing so, it records the details in the system and simultaneously converts them into pdf documents. Once it is converted the pdfs are sent to the relevant stakeholders like the patient and the pharmacists.
Benefits:
Other than generating a clear prescription what other benefits do the users experience while using Prescriptio? Actually, Prescriptio is really user-friendly for doctors due to many reasons.
Every medication prescribed by the doctor through Prescriptio is recorded in the system and therefore the patient’s history is saved in the system. So, doctors can study patients’ history before prescribing medications.
Additionally, the pdfs that contain the prescription is sent to both the patient and the pharmacist; it increases the reliability as well since sometimes medication recommended by the doctor should be strictly given to the patient only after the doctor’s observation. So the pdf is proof that the doctor prescribed it after observation because it was generated via the doctor’s device and sent through the doctor’s account to the pharmacist.
What do you need to use Prescriptio?
All you need to have is either a mobile or a laptop. So why go through all the trouble when you have the best prescription writing buddy with you?
